Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5713 Rowing Machine is a water-based resistance rowing machine. This means it uses 16 paddles (8 on top and 8 on the bottom) within the water drum to create resistance. Water rowers differ from Air, Magnetic, and Hydraulic-Piston rowers in that they provide a smooth, steady and authentic rowing experience with every stroke.
Water Resistance Operation & Adjustability
SF-RW5713 water rower has 6 different resistance levels for reference. Level 1 is the easiest and is great for beginners, while level 6 will give even the most serious athletes a great workout. These levels are only for reference as you may adjust the water level to your desired workout intensity.
Simply add tap water into the water tank using the included funnel. Add 1 water purification tablet once the desired level has been reached (do not fill pass level 6).
-Do not add pool chlorine or chlorine bleach to the water tank.

The rower does not come with the water prefilled, but does come with a hose and funnel to make filling and emptying the tank hassle-free.

The 16 fan blades provide unlimited resistance and a dynamic response caused by the interaction with the water. You can change the feet of the rowing stroke by adding or reducing water from the tank.
