"Quiet enough to watch "Jeopardy!" while peddling. The bike is virtually silent, Smooth, Quiet, Good drag/inertia ratio and feel. The magnetic drag provides a nice range of adjustment from "freewheeling" to "Can Not Pedal". So, whatever you need in terms of range. The bike is nicely constructed, heavy enough to be stable. Overall, Very Good. And much less expensive than the Most Famous Brand. This sits in our living room. It looks good enough to just leave out most of the time. Not every cycle is that way.
