Orange Dream Smoothie Bowl

This orange dream smoothie bowl takes me back to breezy summer days of my childhood and is much healthier than the orange cream bars you’ll find at the store. This smoothie bowl is packed with delicious fruits and protein for a fun and delicious way to refuel post workout, or an afternoon treat.

For this smoothie, I used frozen banana and oranges. You don’t have to freeze your oranges, but it will help make your smoothie bowl colder and a little thicker. The banana helps to naturally sweeten this smoothie, but if you want to go all out you could easily add a splash of honey for a sweeter taste.

It also includes vanilla bean Greek yogurt, which adds such a nice creaminess to this bowl as well as a boost of protein. My favorite vanilla bean yogurt to use in this smoothie is the Vanilla Bean Skyr from Trader Joes. It’s low in added sugars, and tastes like a fluffy vanilla bean whipped cream – it’s truly something to write home about (literally). But, if you don’t have a Trader Joes near you, any vanilla bean Greek yogurt will do! Finish it off with a vanilla protein powder of choice and a splash of regular or plant-based milk.

After you’ve blended, test the texture – if it’s too soupy, add some ice as needed. Once it’s blended to perfection, add your toppings of choice. I enjoy vanilla almond granola, orange and peach slices, and a sprinkle of chia seeds!
