Why Are Workout Plans Important Anyway?
Workout plans have many benefits. They can motivate you, teach you new things, and make your exercise experience a lot easier. A good program promotes consistency and enables you to improve both your physical fitness and lifestyle. Here are four benefits of maintaining a training program.- Removes a major excuse. Many of us don't have access to a personal trainer or a fitness class and because of this, not knowing what to do when you're trying to work out at home or at the gym can pose a major mental roadblock. Without a plan, your workouts will take more time than necessary as you will find yourself figuring out what to do next; by taking up more time, many people will subsequently fall off and give up saying, "Forget it!" Having a plan removes that excuse, allowing you to efficiently maximize the gains from your workouts.
- Nothing gets missed. When it comes to personal fitness, most of us have multiple goals in mind. Planned in advance, workouts will help ensure that all your fitness goals are met on a regular basis. A workout plan enables you to look at your program holistically on a regular basis. It will also allow you to see if you're getting enough of each type of exercise, even if you're not doing them all every day.
- Track your progress. A training plan helps keep track of where you started and where you are today. This is crucial because you can measure all the work you put in as well as the physical improvements you've made. Tracking your growth is a good point of reference and captures your story and your fitness journey.
- Plan for fun. A well-made workout program leaves room for freedom and experimentation throughout the process. Making sure you're able to do what you enjoy while still fulfilling a structured plan is most important for your longevity as a fitness enthusiast. How much you enjoy the process is a testament to a good program.

The Sunny Way to Workout Plans
On the SunnyFit® app, we've removed all the major hurdles of coming up with your own training program. You can create your own customized plans based on specific workout types or equipment. Here are the 3 types of Training Plans you can set up on our SunnyFit® app.
Target Plan
Create your workout plan based on a goal you set for yourself. With this plan, you can set your plan's length (currently up to 8 weeks) and a target goal for calories burned per week.
- Below the main hero carousel images tap "Getting Started" (then follow from steps 3-11)
OR
- Head over to your profile, tap on "Me" on the bottom navigation bar
- Tap on "My Plan"
- Then tap on "Target Customized"
- Tap on then type in "Plan Name"
- Enter the date you'll start your plan in "Start Date," when you've chosen the date tap on the dark blue bar to collapse and confirm the date selected
- Choose the duration (how many weeks) you'd like your plan to go, you can only select up to 8 weeks
- Select how many calories you want to burn per week in "Target Calories Per Week"
- Tap the red "Create" button
- Finally, you have the plan in the palm of your hands. Depending on your plan's start date, you can keep track of your training progress weekly.
- Now, after creating your plan and after logging in, on the first module below the main hero carousel images in the "Training Plan" section, tap on "View All Plans"
- Tap on the Target Customized plan you created to further track the details of your progress
AI Recommended Plan
Allow the app to set up your very own workout plan based on specific details you put down. Select your workout type (any particular Sunny fitness machine) and a workout goal (recovery, practice, build endurance, etc.) and the app will automatically generate a weekly plan with guided workout videos.
- Below the main hero carousel images tap "Getting Started" (then follow steps 3-16)
OR
- Tap on "Me" (bottom nav)
- Tap on "My Plan"
- Then select "AI Recommended"
- Enter a customized title for your plan in "Plan Name"
- Choose your main workout type based on current Sunny Health and Fitness products in "Main Workout Type"
- Select an optional workout type as a secondary option in "Optional Workout Type"
- Determine your workout goal by selecting an option in "Workout Goal"
- Specify your start date in "Start Date," when you've chosen the date tap on the dark blue bar to collapse and confirm the date selected
- Determine your plan's duration by choosing the number of weeks in "Play Length" (only up to 4 weeks can be chosen)
- Choose the days in the week you'd like to work out by tapping on the columns above each day in "Days to Workout"
- Select how many hours prior to the start date you'd like to be notified of your workout in "Reminder Time"
- Tap the red "Create" button
- Preview your plan then tap the red "Create" button again
- Finally, you have the plan at the tip of your fingers and can keep track of your progress depending on your start date. You can also preview each of the daily workouts within each week.
- Now, after creating your plan and after logging in, on the first module below the main hero carousel images in the "Training Plan" section, tap on "View All Plans"
- Tap on the Target Customized plan you created to further track the details of your progress
Note for more customization: Immediately after creating your plan, stay on the screen and swipe to the bottom where you will see workout videos. You can change workouts that have been filtered by the main workout type. If you tap the plus icon on the bottom of a video, you can insert a recovery workout video to accompany the main workout.
Training Programs
Choose any of the preset programs. We removed all the guesswork and curated programs with varying lengths and workout types. Select a program that stands out to you and get started!
- Below the main hero carousel images tap "Getting Started" (then follow steps 3-10)
- Tap on "Me" (bottom nav)
- Tap on "My Plan"
- Then select "Training Program"
- Choose any of the programs created and led by our very own Sunny Trainers.
- Then create your own name for the plan in "Plan Name" (this is separate from the title that already exists for the program you selected)
- Specify your start date in "Start Date," when you've chosen the date tap on the dark blue bar to collapse and confirm the date selected
- Select how many hours prior to the start date you'd like to be notified of your workout in "Reminder Time"
- Finally, you have easy access to your plan, the calendar, your progress, and workouts for the program you chose
- Now, after creating your plan and after logging in, on the first module below the main hero carousel images in the "Training Plan" section, tap on "View All Plans"
- Tap on the Target Customized plan you created to further track the details of your progress
