Whether you’re a seasoned zombie slayer, trying to outrun the undead, or a member of team zombie, the Nightmare on Sunny Street series on the SunnyFit app offers spine-tingling workouts all month long. This year’s Halloween workouts are bigger, bolder, and beastlier than ever. Each one is designed to test your cardio endurance and power while making sure you have a terrifyingly good time. Get ready to step into haunted scenarios like escaping zombie hordes, surviving post-apocalyptic cycle races, and sprinting on the treadmill to outpace the living dead.
How Does the Challenge Work?
When you join the Nightmare on Sunny Street event in the SunnyFit app, you will automatically be assigned to a team, either Team Sunny Striders or Team Carcass Cardio. The more workouts you complete from October 10 to October 30, the more points you contribute to your team’s overall score. The winning team will be announced on Halloween, and every team member will receive a reward (more on that below).
Every 10-minute workout you complete earns your team 1 point, and you can earn up to 10 points per day. You can also earn 1 extra event point per day by completing any workout in the Shamble ‘N Stride Collection on the app. Plus, gain some extra bragging rights as a top point earner! If you are one of the top 10 earners on your team, your name will be displayed on your team’s leaderboard in the app.

Winning Team
If you’re on the winning team, everyone receives a special profile badge as well as 50 SunnyFit Reward Points. If you rank in the Top 5 on your team, you’ll get a Smart Scale, and if you’re in the Top 10, you’ll win a 2025 event medallion.
Losing Team
If you’re on the losing team, everyone still receives a special profile badge (different from the winning team’s badge) and 50 SunnyFit Reward Points. If you rank in the Top 5 on your team, you’ll get a pair of ankle weights, and if you’re in the Top 10, you’ll win a 2025 event medallion.
Additional Chances to Win
In addition to team prizes there will be two event giveaways: three prize winners for participating in the Nightmare on Sunny Street Challenge, and two prize winners for joining and participating in the live app event on Halloween. Each Nightmare on Sunny Street workout is a quick and effective 20-minute session, so they’re perfect for even the busiest schedules. These workouts are designed to boost fat-burning and build cardio endurance, all while keeping the spooky spirit alive. Led by certified SunnyFit trainers, each session brings high energy, themed motivation, and expert guidance to keep you moving. The workouts are tailored to popular fitness machines like the treadmill, cycle bike, elliptical, and mini stepper, so you can jump in with the equipment you already have at home. Plus, they're beginner-friendly and scalable, making it easy to adjust the intensity to match your fitness level.

Who will survive – the striders or the zombies? Jump on your cycle bike and ride like your life depends on it. This 20-minute showdown pits Sunny Striders against Carcass Cardio in a pulse-pounding cycling challenge that brings the heat.

Lace up and level up. This 20-minute treadmill workout will challenge your cardio while keeping things fun. As you push your pace, Ashley will help you unlock your inner survivor with high-speed intervals and fun motivation.
Setting the Mood for Haunted Workout Vibes
Want to take your Halloween workouts to the next level? Create a spooky, energizing atmosphere right in your own home! Start by dimming the lights and adding some LED candles or string lights to set the mood. A Halloween-themed playlist can elevate the experience even more. Think classics like “Thriller,” eerie instrumental tracks, or spooky remixes that keep your heart rate up.
Don’t be afraid to dress the part either! Put on a pair of skeleton gloves, a festive headband, or a Halloween-themed tank top to really get into character. Additionally, from October 20 to October 31, you can share photos of yourself working out in your Halloween costume with the tag #Halloween in the SunnyFit app under the social tab. This will earn you a limited-time photo frame, SunnyFit Reward Points, and Nightmare on Sunny Street Event Points. That’s some major winnings!
And for the ultimate transformation, decorate your workout space with cobwebs, mini pumpkins, or even a fog machine if you’re feeling extra festive. A little ambiance can turn any ordinary workout into a frightfully fun fitness session.
