Annora has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. She is an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, FAI Functional Aging Specialist and received her Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Southern California.
Athletics were not a natural fit for her growing up; she was more passionate about fried food & Barbies. Through the encouragement of her parents, she eventually found an interest in swimming. She started competing at the age of 8 and continued through college as a Division III swimmer at Union college in Schenectady, NY. After college she became interested in personal training while learning to coach herself, trying to stick to an early morning workout routine. She started teaching swim lessons, quickly moving into personal and group training. She was pulled towards the aging field after working with older adults early in her career, who demonstrated that an injury or illness did not have to hold one back from continuing to live your life and thrive. She has since helped to open two gyms dedicated to older adults in the greater Los Angeles area, co-founded her own app dedicated to people living with disabilities, and became a speaker for the Foundation for Senior Services. She continues to focus her attention on creating accessible programs to help people live long, healthy, and active lives.
When she is not sharing her love of fitness you can find her seeking out ways to spend time in the sunshine, whether at the beach, going for a neighborhood walk, or trying to learn how to roller skate!
